First soccer practice was a success
Is this your child first year playing soccer? Want to know what goes on being a soccer mom or what it takes to be a soccer mom? Join our soccer adventure!
Are you a new soccer mom? I am. I’ve only been a soccer mom for over a few days now, but to the game it is very familiar. I urged my husband to put our 3 year old in soccer since it was the only sport that will let 3 year olds play. I think is important to learn the basics of a sport and how to be a member of team. So that being said, sports is nothing new to me but being a sports mom is!
Before I get to mention my husband is the coach! Ha, I’ve always wanted to be a coaches wife. Let’s move on!
So since my husband is the coach he had to attend to a meeting to get a schedule and get more information for the parents. He then confirms the parents informations for the practice and first game in case a few kids miss the first few practice.
If you’re perpetually late for every other thing in your life, make sure your kids get to their games and practices on time. The coach is (most likely) a working parent who is juggling his or her schedule to be available for your kids. Do them the courtesy of getting your small human to where they’re supposed to be on time.
Glued on MOM!
Introduce yourself and your child to their new coach. Our son Djay was very excited to meet his new friends especially playing with them. What i learned when I had to stay away from him so that way he was focus on his team. I sat back and watched him interact with others. Just sit back and let them be kids and let the coach be the
coach. That way when it is game time our little one will listen and respect the coach and teammates.
Meeting the parents
Sit down and cheer the kids motivate while chatting with the other parent get to know them. Get to know what the kids like for snack so when it is your turn to bring snacks it’ll be a hit!
Enjoy watching your little one play!
