It’s really Okay for there to be times when you stop putting everyone else first and just do what is best for you
Me Time was never in my vocabulary until I had my son and oh, do I sure need it raising a boy. Before of taking care of someone else we need to make sure we are taking care of ourselves first. To keep our sanity to take care of our little ones we need hat Me Time.
I want to let you know that it is Okay to have mental break down. Want to cry it out? It is okay. Need some time alone? That is fine too! Being a parent is the toughest job out there. I wrote down a list for you and what other moms do for their Me Time just to help you out with your Me time!
List you can do alone
- Catch a movie
- Take a hike
- Soak in a bubble bath (My favorite one)
- Take a class learn something new
- Get a massage
- Binge watch a tv show
- Watch a movie
- Shop at clearance
- Go to a nearby lake and read or just be
- Get a Mani and/ or Pedi
- Go out to eat alone
- Start on something you’ve needing to get done for yourself
Don’t be afraid to do these things alone. My Me Time used to be getting groceries alone while my husband takes our son out for ice cream or to the park but I realized getting groceries alone makes me think of our son and my husband even more just because I’m thinking about our meal plan and I am going to feed my family. So I decided that I need more for myself for Me Time. Being alone isn’t so bad.
If you are looking for a more of a Me Time routine at home before your little ones wake for the day check out my post written just for you! Stay at home mom morning routine

My husband takes over bath time and I take that 20 min to read or sit in quiet (so I don’t cut Jake and the Neverland Pirates), watch a show, or anything else I need done. On Sundays we lead a married small group at our house and even though it isn’t alone time it’s great to have deep conversation and awesome fellowship!

Last but, not least…sit on my lanai with a cup of coffee and just relax and enjoy the sunshine. When they were younger my me time was a nap every Wednesday. lol

What I do for Me time
I like to escape for a second and go the room catch up on shows, sometimes I go to sonic drive in get some ice cream and read a book. Being a mom takes a lot of your some and having other moms as friends is hard because are not always on the same schedule but when we are we like to go for dinner and drinks and catch up. Bubble baths are my favorite relaxing with some wine and a good book or watch Netflix there 🙂 ha, yeah! Any quiet time is my alone time.
So are you still here? If so did I convince to get some Me Time for yourself? Start with a 5 minute break by yourself it’ll be worth it! If you’ve tried doing some Me Time for yourself, what is that you did? I would love read all about it!
